Diablo Day Camp Registrar
P.O. Box 909
Lafayette, CA 94549-0909

The registration form will be returned.
We encourage girls to come to camp with 1 friend. The 1 friend limit is
necessary to allow as many girls as possible from all 10 Girl Scout Associations
to attend Diablo Day Camp. We also like the girls in each unit to "make
new friends". We have learned in the past that if there are too many girls
that know each other already, they are more likely to stick to their little
group and not participate in camp activities with the others in the unit.

No. All ages are welcome at all
sessions. We like to encourage Cadettes to attend Diablo Day Camp.
In order to attract as many as possible, some sessions offer a "special unit"
for Cadettes. These units are not as structured as the younger girl units
and offer activities that are age appropriate for Cadettes.

No. Each camper can only attend one
session. This one session limit will maximize the number of girls that are
able to attend camp.

No. We do not accept troops
registering as a group. Group registrations will be returned.

No. After being placed in a session, a camper can not
switch to another session for any reason. Please notify the Director that
your camper will drop from the session she was placed in. Please try again
next year.

No. Adult volunteers and their family
members are given priority placement over lottery campers. Campers have
also been placed in the session based on your commitment. If you fail to
fulfill your volunteer agreement, your daughter and her friend (if she had a
friend with her) will be dropped. The adult to child ratio must be adhered
to at all times. Consequently, girls that drop will also not be replaced
with girls on the waiting list. Girls on the waiting list will be turned
away.

All Camp Confirmations and Letters of
Regret are mailed by March 31st if not sooner.

Late registrations are not accepted.
Your check will be returned at the end of March.

No. Late registrations are not accepted. The
Waiting List for each session is drawn from the on-time registration forms in
the lottery box.

No. Only campers on the Waiting List for the specific
session can take the place of a camper who has dropped.

No. We discourage parents against being placed in the
same unit with their children.

Each unit in camp is composed of campers of the same grade
or age. Sometimes, there are so many campers of the same age that they
must be separated into two units. If your daughter wishes to be put in the
same unit with their friend that is the same grade or age, please let us know by
writing the friends name on the "If accepted into the same session, try to place
in same unit as friend" line.

No. All family members must be listed on the same
registration form. A non-related person on a family registration form will
make the entire form incomplete. If you wish your daughter to be put in
the lottery with a friend, attach the friends registration form to hers and mail
them in the same envelope.

No. On average, there are over 2,000 registration
forms in the lottery box. It is not feasible to go through all the
envelopes in search of a specific camper.

Yes. The forms are stapled together, put in the
lottery box together, drawn together and stay stapled together until they are
given to the Session Directors.

If the campers are the same
age, they will probably be put in the same unit together. In a situation
where the campers are put together in the same envelope for carpool purposes,
but are not the same age, they would not be put in the same unit.

If the registration form is received early enough to send
back, I will send it back with a request for a check. If it is received
after February 24, 2006, the registration form will be set aside as incomplete
and will not be processed.

Yes. Diablo Day Camp has a full-time certified
lifeguard at the pool at all times.
